THE ROLE

As a senior leader, you model our values and support our strong organization culture. Day-to-day, you are expected to demonstrate strategic focus, collaboration, and resourcefulness. You will implement and maintain policies, protocols and processes that align your team's work to Wing Kei's mission and strategic priorities. As well, you will support the CEO to work effectively with the Board of Directors.

Equipped with your Finance background and business experience, we offer the opportunity for you to further your career beyond that to lead our Risk Management and Corporate services. This role would be appealing to someone who is energetic, quick to pivot between a diverse scope and supportive of our growing organization's Mission despite the challenges which are inevitable.

Key Accountabilities

All Wing Kei leaders are personally accountable for their own integrity and effectiveness. Key responsibilities include:

●       Strategy and mission facilitation --- evaluates priorities and makes decisions based on our strategic plans and organizational mission; engages stakeholders, works closely with the CEO to build strong, cohesive, reciprocal partnerships with government, community leaders, service providers and donors.

●       Financial management and reporting --- leads all strategies, plans, and operations related to stewardship of financial resources; maintains ongoing alertness to any relevant standards or external budget changes that may impact Wing Kei operations. This may include developing, implementing and evaluating financial plans, financial systems, and staffing strategies; establishing and improving related policies and practices; meeting all compliance and audit requirements for all the functions under your leadership. Timely reporting to the CEO and Board, conducting financial analysis or projections related to operations and expansion plans, donor accounting would all be priorities.

●       Human Capital Management --- You will partner with all leaders to uphold the organization's values in all aspects of people management. You will collaborate with other departments and divisions to ensure compliance, safety, and wellness for our workplace. We also count on you to provide strategic and tactical perspectives on decisions and changes that impact our people.

●       Legal and Risk management --- ensures organizational risk is minimized including proactively managing legislative or accreditation compliance, financial viability, organizational reputation, workplace safety, and business continuity.

●       Organizational effectiveness --- models effective self and team management; leads and provides expertise in own scope of responsibilities; champions collaboration and strategic alignment in teams; anticipates market impacts and plans ahead for contingencies across your scope of responsibility.

THE INDIVIDUAL WHO WILL SUCCEED

●       Is aligned with Wing Kei's vision and mission.

●       Chartered Public Accountant (C.P.A) designation required.

●       Master's degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) preferred.

●       Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience, demonstrating own growth through increasing complexity and strategic focus of scope.

●       Leadership experience in finance and risk management required; hands-on experience managing Finance, Payroll and/or Human Resources in a growing organization preferred.

●       Stays organized and positive through the challenges of managing a multi-functional team.

●       Reliable, self-motivated and proactive in a fast-paced workplace.

●       Flexible with work schedule if in-person support at events is required.

●       Communicates well and possesses an engaging presentation style.

●       Can manage development of or changes required for HR policies, practices and procedure; providing expertise and resources relating to legislative compliance and impact to operations.

●       Within the not-for-profit context, is passionate about connecting donors and partners with a worthwhile mission in the community.

●       Exhibits consistent problem solving ability, track record in resourcefulness and stewardship.

●       Shows sound judgment and consistently behaves in a professional manner.

●       
Works well with interdisciplinary teams.

●       Knowledge of the Chinese culture would be an asset.

Work Hours:

8 hours a day, 40 hours a week

As a member of Wing Kei's leadership team, this position is expected to work flexible hours based on operational needs
; this may include non-standard office hours such as evenings and weekends.
