Explorers Academy ) is seeking a dedicated and skilled French Language Expert to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring clear communication and delivering high-quality language services across translation, interpretation, and written content. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong bilingual fluency in French and English, possess a deep understanding of linguistics, and bring expertise in cultural nuances and diverse communication styles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate interpretation services (French English) for meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Translate a wide range of documents while preserving cultural context and meaning.
  • Develop language resources that strengthen bilingual communication within the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support multilingual communication strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of Quebec Sign Language (LSQ) as it relates to the French-speaking community.
  • Produce high-quality written content in French, including reports, articles, and promotional material.
  • Conduct linguistic research to support ongoing language development initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency: Fluent in both French and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong interpretation skills with the ability to convey meaning clearly and accurately.
  • Proven experience in translation, with a focus on precision and cultural nuance.
  • Excellent French writing skills, with the ability to craft engaging, professional content.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Typing proficiency for timely completion of written tasks.
  • Background in linguistics preferred (knowledge of language structure and usage).
