Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Plumber to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair, providing a valuable foundation for a career in the trades. The Apprentice Plumber will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to develop essential skills while contributing to various construction and maintenance projects. Candidates should have a strong interest in mechanical systems and a willingness to learn technical skills in a dynamic environment.

Duties

  • Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively for assembly and repair tasks
  • Perform basic math calculations to measure materials and ensure proper fitting of components
  • Support the installation of piping, fixtures, and related plumbing components according to specifications
  • Participate in site preparation, including carpentry work or minor construction tasks as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency on job sites
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures during project execution

Experience

  • Prior experience or familiarity with mechanical knowledge, carpentry, HVAC systems, or construction is advantageous but not required
  • Basic understanding of plumbing principles is preferred but training will be provided
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, welding, or assembly work is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an aptitude for learning technical concepts related to plumbing systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
  • Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to plumbing projects
  • Willingness to learn maintenance procedures and develop technical expertise in plumbing trades
