Our Comox location which has been proudly serving our local community for over 25 years is currently looking for a Team Leader. This is an entry level Management position that will grow into a Store General Manager position.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves supervising staff, managing sales activities, and ensuring exceptional customer service to drive store success. The Team Leader will play a pivotal role in team development, merchandising, and operational efficiency, contributing to a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Duties

  • Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Oversee daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and POS transactions.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff through effective onboarding and ongoing training programs.
  • Conduct interviews for hiring new staff and evaluate team performance regularly.
  • Manage payroll, scheduling, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and budgeting.
  • Implement marketing strategies to promote products and enhance store visibility.
  • Handle customer inquiries, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor pricing strategies and adjust merchandise displays to optimize sales performance.
  • Supervise cash handling procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with store management on sales management, store management initiatives, and promotional activities.
  • Maintain organizational standards by ensuring cleanliness, safety protocols, and efficient workflow.

The following will be beneficial, but not essential as training will be provided

  • Proven supervisory experience in retail sales or store management roles.
  • Strong background in sales management, merchandising, and customer service.
  • Experience with recruiting, training & development, and team management.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in supervising teams and managing budgets.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently with strong organizational skills.
  • Prior experience in retail or related fields that require time management and phone etiquette skills is preferred. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to make a significant impact within our organization while developing their career in retail management.
