Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Parts Manager to oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of parts within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dealership operations, supply chain management, and customer service. This role is essential for maintaining optimal inventory levels, sourcing quality parts, and ensuring seamless operations across manufacturing or service departments. The Parts Manager will play a key role in streamlining procurement processes, managing vendor relationships, and supporting overall operational efficiency.

Duties

  • Manage and oversee the entire parts inventory, including ordering, stocking, and distribution.
  • Utilize ERP systems and CMMS software for accurate data entry, inventory tracking, and demand planning.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain quality parts at competitive prices.
  • Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure timely availability of parts for manufacturing or service needs.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with supply chain best practices.
  • Collaborate with dealership teams, mechanics, or technicians to understand parts requirements and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock levels.
  • Supervise forklift operations when necessary to facilitate efficient movement of parts within storage areas.
  • Stay updated on industry trends related to sourcing, HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and manufacturing processes.

Experience

  • Proven experience in dealership parts departments or similar supply chain roles.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, CMMS software, and demand planning tools.
  • Experience with procurement, sourcing negotiations, and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems such as HVAC or manufacturing equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently in fast-paced environments.
  • Knowledge of forklift operation is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments.
  • Prior experience working with supply chain logistics within manufacturing or automotive sectors is highly desirable.
