About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated 4th Class Power Engineer
to join our Vancouver-based food processing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring continuous operation of plant equipment while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled repair of plant equipment including ice machines, freezers, cooling systems, dock cranes, and chilled production areas.
- Troubleshoot and complete emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
- Assist with machinery installation and ensure a safe work environment.
- Respond to urgent repair needs, including occasional overtime or weekend support.
Required Qualifications
- Valid 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate (British Columbia).
- Experience with boilers, refrigeration, cooling systems, and other plant pressure equipment.
- Knowledge of general plant maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
- Experience in food processing, fishing, or manufacturing environments is an asset.
Salary:
$32.00–$35.00 per hour
