Relief Justice Worker

Are you a recent graduate or looking to begin your career in the justice field? St. Leonard's Community Services (SLCS) is here to support, advocate with, and empower individuals who are, or who are at risk of being, justice-involved. We are currently hiring Relief Justice Workers to join our team across our four adult Community Residential Facilities (CRFs).
As a Relief Justice Worker, you'll play a key role in helping individuals reintegrate into the community by:
- Monitoring resident activities and ensuring adherence to house rules and conditions.
- Supporting clients in achieving personal goals related to rehabilitation and reintegration.
- Connecting clients with community resources such as housing, employment, healthcare, and mental health services.
- Ensuring the safety and security of the residence, including supporting clients through their mental health and addictions issues as well as conducting inspections.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners like probation and parole officers.
- Assisting with administrative tasks and case documentation through EMHWare
- Responding to crisis situations with professionalism and care.
- Help fostering a collaborative work environment.
What We are Looking For
- University degree or college diploma (or currently enrolled) in a related field
- Previous work or volunteer experience in justice, corrections, social services, or community support is an asset.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:
- Valid G2 or G Class Driver's License
- Standard First Aid/CPR – Level C
- Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is an asset
