Client: Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement

Start Date: November 5, 2025

End Date: June 30, 2026 (Extension probable)

Hours: 7.25 hours per day

Security Clearance: Not required

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join a dynamic team supporting large-scale, multi-client web applications within the Ontario Public Sector.

You'll be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications, ensuring system reliability and scalability.

Must-Have Skills

  • 10+ years as a designer/developer in large-scale web applications
  • 10+ years of Java development with Oracle or SQL databases
  • 5+ years with REST APIs / RESTful Web Services
  • Experience using Azure DevOps

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with OPS Development standards/processes
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, OAuth2.0, JWT, and security protocols
  • Oracle E-Business expertise (GL, AR, AP, Collections, etc.)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate technical specifications into working, tested applications
  • Develop detailed programming specifications, write/generate code, and perform unit tests
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues during implementation and maintenance
  • Collaborate across teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication (verbal & written)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Team player, adaptive to changing priorities
  • Experience working in public sector or large enterprise environments

Work Model

  • From Oct 20, 2025: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
  • From Jan 5, 2026: Fully onsite (5 days/week)
