Are you passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience by troubleshooting on the jobsite and the shop and maintaining a variety of Vermeer and other heavy equipment? We're looking for a self-starter who enjoys hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting.
What you will do
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures or malfunctions to reduce customer downtime
- Test repaired equipment for performance and reliability
- Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on all customer equipment
- Review factory service bulletins and other pertinent information to ensure equipment is up to date
- Convey a professional presence, ensuring problems are tactfully explained and customer relations are satisfied
- Ensure problems are tactfully explained and the customer is satisfied
- Prepare job estimates in accordance with work schedules and promised completion dates, effects necessary mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic repairs, as required
- Maintain a familiarity with the practical operation of all equipment
- Maintains and leaves all work areas clean, unobstructed, in a safe and orderly working condition
- Adheres to all Company policies and procedures, with particular emphasis on Health and safety
- Attends and participates in toolbox/safety meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for
- Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision
- Strong communication skills and desire to deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Detail-orientated, consistently going above and beyond to deliver high-quality work
- Strong hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience as a Journeyman or 4th year Heavy Equipment Technician/Apprentice preferred
- Minimum 5 years working experience in a service shop
- Previous experience rebuilding engines engine diagnostic is an asset.
- Previous experience with Vermeer, Cat, John Deere, Ditch Witch, Case and other Horizontal Drilling equipment is an asset
- Valid driver's license. Class 3 or 5 preferred.

No travel is expected of this position.

Pay: $43.00-$50.00 per hour
