Our company currently has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer that specializes in HVAC & Plumbing Design

Description:

Candidate will be responsible for the production and design of complete mechanical systems (HVAC & Plumbing) for commercial, retail and restaurant projects. They will work alongside other mechanical/electrical designers and engineers in which communication is key. The candidate will have the responsibilities of communicating with clients through various platforms (ie. Email, phone calls, MS Teams, etc.) along with on-site inspections/surveys.

· Fluent communication skills for interacting with customers and suppliers. Must be able to clearly identify design criteria from Client and/or Landlord/Tenant agreements.

· Knowledge of NFPA 96 (Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection)

· Experience with design of mechanical plans for commercial, retail and restaurant facilities including HVAC and Plumbing

· Produce and/or evaluate technical design solutions

Qualifications:

· Completion of a 4 year Mechanical Engineering degree

· Minimum of 7 years work experience

· Candidate MUST have a strong background in, and be very familiar with AutoCad (Revit MEP is a strong asset)

· Knowledge of NFPA 96 (Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection)

· P.Eng. license with current good standing as a member of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)

· Ability to present oral/written summaries of all necessary information to the affected personnel or organizations.

· Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines

· Ability to translate key area and business needs into the right priorities and actions

· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

· Ability to lead a cross-functional team using Root Cause Analysis problem solving methodology.

· Ability to develop and implement systematic and sustainable reliability programs.
