We're looking for a Full Stack Software Developer who thrives on building the tools that make AI-powered robotics real. Someone who can turn complex data, 3D vision, and simulation workflows into elegant, intuitive web applications that engineers love to use. 

You'll be part of the team behind Apera Forge - our browser-based simulation and development platform that lets customers design, test, and deploy robotic vision systems. Your work will bridge the gap between machine intelligence and human usability.

What You'll Do 

• Design and deliver: Build production-ready features across the stack - from modern React UIs to scalable APIs and data services. 
• Shape experiences: Turn complex 3D vision workflows into intuitive, high-performance web interfaces used by robotics engineers. 
• Integrate intelligence: Connect AI-driven analytics and simulation data to Forge, enabling users to visualize, tune, and validate robotic performance. 
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with ML, robotics, and UX teams to design features that bridge AI algorithms and real-world deployment tools. 
• Optimize for speed and scale: Implement efficient data pipelines and automated testing to ensure reliability, maintainability, and fast iteration. 
• Continuously improve: Apply user feedback and analytics to refine usability, reduce friction, and increase adoption.

What We're Looking For 

• 3+ years of experience developing production-grade software across frontend and backend environments. 
• Proficiency in Python (Flask/FastAPI), React, TypeScript, and modern API design . 
• Ability to translate user needs into polished, performant web applications. 
• Comfort working with 3D data, simulation tools, or visualization frameworks. 
• Strong communication skills and collaboration across disciplines. 

Bonus points: experience integrating AI-driven tools, robotic simulation data, or real-time visualization pipelines.

Straightforward Compensation, Real Growth

At Apera AI, we keep compensation as clear as our technology. We hire for impact - and reward it accordingly. This software engineering opportunity spans three career levels, each reflecting increasing scope, technical depth, and leadership influence.

You'll join at the level that best matches your experience and contribution:

Intermediate Engineer (typically 3–8 years): $110,000 CAD – $145,000 CAD
Senior Engineer (typically 8–12 years): $150,000 CAD – $180,000 CAD
Principal Engineer (typically 12+ years): $190,000 CAD and above

Our total compensation range of $110,000 CAD – $190,000 CAD + per year covers these levels and includes base salary and equity opportunities.
