Dental Office Manager

Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations (primarily the front desk operations) at our 3-op dental practice in Burlington. The ideal candidate will have formal office management training (courses, seminars, certifications, etc) in addition to work experience. They will have strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of dental office procedures, and the ability to manage staff effectively.
We have been utilizing the Office Manager from our other Burlington practice at this location part-time, but this location really needs its own dedicated OM.
Hours can be somewhat flexible, but ideally:
Mon 9-3
Wed 10-7
Thurs 1-7
Fri 10-3
1 Sat every 4 weeks 10-3
Room for future growth in hours/days as we grow and our business hours expand.
Main Focus Responsibilities:
This role requires proficiency in medical terminology, electronic medical records, and familiarity with the dental software such as Tracker and Recallmax.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of dental office front desk staff, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to office policies.
- Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and follow-up communications to enhance patient experience.
- Oversee the maintenance of electronic medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Train new staff members on office procedures, software usage, and customer service protocols.
- Handle human resources tasks including recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental office management role.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems; experience with Tracker and Recallmax is highly desirable.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service and patient experience.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
