Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to maintain cleanliness and order in public spaces. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming, safe, and hygienic environment for guests and staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and custodial services, with a strong focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness across various facilities. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the overall guest experience while working in a dynamic environment.

Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces
  • Conduct floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain a pristine appearance
  • Handle janitorial responsibilities using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness of furniture, fixtures, and surfaces within public spaces
  • Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other amenities as needed
  • Assist with minor custodial repairs or maintenance tasks to ensure facilities are well-maintained
  • Follow safety protocols related to industrial cleaning and facilities maintenance
  • Collaborate with team members to complete daily cleaning schedules efficiently

Qualifications

  • Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus
  • Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing
  • Experience with facilities maintenance or porter duties is advantageous
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize daily duties effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
