Summary

D.M.Z Lowbed Service LTD. is hiring a reliable, hard-working Mechanic Helper / Wash Person to support our shop and fleet operations. This is a full-time position with steady work and a great team environment.

Schedule

  • Tuesday to Saturday
  • Full-time hours

Responsibilities

  • Assist mechanics with vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
  • Support the diagnosis of mechanical issues on heavy machinery and trucks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Help with the installation and removal of parts and accessories.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Assist in preparing vehicles for transport or service.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet operational goals.
  • Wash and clean trucks, trailers, and lowbeds
  • Keep the yard and shop clean, organized, and safe
  • Help with fueling, greasing, and day-to-day support as needed

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Reliable transportation
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Prior experience in vehicle or machinery maintenance is a plus.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company
  • Experience working around commercial trucks and trailers
  • Lowbed/heavy haul experience
