Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide exceptional in-home support to clients of all ages, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure the safety and well-being of those in their care. Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or working with dementia patients is highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized caregiving services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Provide medication reminders
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding if necessary
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and laundry, to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
  • Support patients with mobility challenges through proper lifting techniques
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
  • Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or working with seniors or individuals with disabilities is preferred
  • Knowledge of patient care techniques and caregiving best practices
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility support
  • Strong communication skills and compassionate nature
  • Ability to work independently while following care plans and protocols
  • Must be reliable, patient-focused, and committed to providing high-quality home care services
  • Must be comfortable with personal care - Experience with catheter maintenance, toileting and physiotherapy routines is an asset.
