Description & Requirements

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) Engineering at EA ensures game excellence through advanced software solutions. To increase innovation, QVS is building the Quality Technology Platform (QTP)—an internal developer platform that reduces duplication, improves developer experience, and enables reusable, secure solutions across studios.

As Lead Platform Engineer for the Infrastructure Solutions (QIS) team you will report to QTP Sr. Delivery Manager. You will design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) modules, lead engineering practices, and guide a team focused on reliability, automation, and developer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor engineers through code reviews, collaboration, and clear technical direction.
  • Balance mentoring with delivery: empower the team to learn, but step in to unblock when needed.
  • Design, deliver, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code components using Terraform and GitLab CI.
  • Partner with the architect to turn high-level designs into actionable tasks and provide clear technical direction, breaking down complex tasks into manageable work
  • Work with the product owner to refine requirements and plan realistic, high-impact roadmaps.
  • Improve security, observability, and performance across QTP infrastructure.
  • Communicate progress and risks clearly to technical and non-technical partners.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years experience developing software in a corporate environment
  • 5+ years experience developing and supporting scalable, secure infrastructure systems using cloud services with Terraform
  • 2+ years experience integrating observability tools for medium or large organizations
  • Proven experience as a software engineer with exposure to leadership or mentorship responsibilities.
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences
  • Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, specifically Gitlab CI
  • Familiar with UI and CLI development, including user journey mapping and UX principles
  • Familiar with Agile, DevOps, SRE and CI/CD practices.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate level desired).
