About the Role

The company is seeking an experienced
Drafting Manager
to lead a skilled drafting team and play a key role in ensuring design precision and construction excellence. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in
architectural or construction drafting
, who thrives in a
hands-on leadership role
within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

As Drafting Manager, you will:

• Supervise and mentor a team of drafters, fostering accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
• Oversee the preparation of architectural drawings, ensuring compliance with
  Ontario Building Code
  standards and internal quality requirements.
• Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and construction teams to translate customer requirements into buildable, high-quality plans.
• Support plant and project teams by aligning drafting outputs with production schedules and project objectives.
• Continuously improve drafting workflows, tools, and standards to enhance team performance.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in
  architectural or construction drafting
  , with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Diploma or degree in
  Engineering, Architecture, or Drafting Technology
  .
• Building Code Identification Number (BCIN)
  is required.
• Strong knowledge of drafting principles, building standards, and technical drawing practices.
• Excellent
  leadership, communication, and organizational
  skills.
• Proficiency with relevant drafting/design software and Ontario Building Code compliance.
