QA Technician

Westfine Meats Inc. is currently seeking an  QA Technician
at our meat processing plant. This position works Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30
pm/ 7:00am - 3:30pm.

Job Opportunities

QA Technician

• Assist in the implementation of Food
  Safety Enhancement Program as per CFIA and SFCR requirements
• Assist with Maintenance and
  implementation of HACCP Plans; monitoring CCP's
• Conducts pre-op inspections and verify
  the effectiveness of the cleaning program
• Assist in the development, maintenance and
  implementation of pre-requisite programs such as Premises, Purchasing,
  Receiving, Shipping, Personnel, Sanitation, Pest Control and Allergen
  Control program
• Verification of pre-requisite monitoring
  records and CCP records
• Coordinate with CFIA for CVS tasks and
  appropriate and prompt response for verification and corrective action
  request Coordinate and prepare product samples for lab testing
• Assist in planning shelf-life studies on
  product
• Participate in HACCP meetings
• Coordinate with the HR Department on HR matters
  related to QA Department

Requirements 

• Strong written and verbal communication
  skills
• Self motivator
• Attention to detail
• Punctual and reliable

Assets

• Quality Assurance/Control experience of
  minimum 1 year
• Food Manufacturing experience minimum 1
  year
• Food Safety certification through AFP
