Talent Acquisition Partner, Midstream
Job Description
Join the team responsible for bringing critical operational talent into AltaGas.
As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you'll support hiring across our Midstream and Utility Operations — recruiting for roles that keep our facilities running safely, reliably, and efficiently across North America. These are field-based and site-driven roles, and they require a recruiter who can understand pace, priority and the realities of operational environments.
You'll work closely with hiring leaders, HRBPs and colleagues to deliver full-cycle recruitment, build talent pipelines and support hiring decisions as a partner with insight and judgment. This role is ideal for a recruiter who enjoys owning their portfolio, partnering with leaders and is motivated to keep learning and sharpening their craft.
What You'll Do
Recruitment Delivery & Partnership
Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles and portfolios — from sourcing and screening through interviews, offers, and readiness for Day 1. Partner with hiring leaders to define requirements, assess options, and move hiring forward with pace and sound judgment.
Consultative Support to Leaders
Act as a trusted point of contact for hiring leaders and candidates. Provide guidance on hiring approach, interview participation, and selection decisions, listening first and applying sound judgment, to ensure a strong, consistent, and professional experience for all stakeholders.
Talent Pipelines & Forward Planning
Support a forward-looking approach to recruitment by identifying recurring, priority, or hard-to-fill roles within your business areas. Contribute to targeted talent pools and pipeline development in partnership with leaders.
Data, Tools & Insight
Use recruitment and market data to manage activity, monitor progress, identify risks or bottlenecks, and share insights with hiring leaders and internal stakeholders. Leverage sourcing tools, market insights, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve candidate engagement and decision-making.
Projects, Improvement & Ways of Working
Contribute to business-area hiring initiatives such as time-bound recruitment efforts, targeted campaigns, or site-based hiring needs. Identify process or system issues, propose improvements, and collaborate with partners to strengthen recruiting practices and workflows.
Operational Coordination & Compliance
Coordinate logistics, documentation, approvals, and handoffs with attention to detail and good judgment. Ensure recruitment activities comply with company policy and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
What You Bring
- 3–5+ years of experience in full-cycle Recruitment / Talent Acquisition, supporting operational roles in the Oil & Gas Energy domain
- Experience partnering with hiring leaders in a consultative, solutions-oriented way
- Strong judgment and ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments
- Experience using recruitment systems and tools (Workday or similar ATS, sourcing platforms, dashboards, reporting, etc.)
- Excellent English written and oral professional communication and relationship building and management skills
- Curiosity and interest in improving how recruiting is done — open to new approaches, tools, and ideas with a genuine interest in becoming an exceptional recruiter
- High attention to detail, discretion and accountability for outcomes
Why Join Us
You'll join a Talent Acquisition team that values strong partnerships, practical innovation, and continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to own a meaningful recruiting portfolio, work closely with operational leaders, and play a direct role in building the teams that support AltaGas' infrastructure across North America — while continuing to grow as a trusted recruiting partner.
