Snow Removal Technician

Hines Facilities Services Ltd. is seeking Seasonal Snow Removal Technician for the upcoming winter season to assist with snow and ice removal from Manning sites.

Job Summary

As a Seasonal Snow Removal Technician, your primary responsibility is to ensure that side walk and walkways, and other designated areas remain clear and safe during snowy and icy conditions. This is an on-call, outdoor position requiring flexibility and physical stamina.

As a Snow Removal Technician, you will:

  • Shovel snow manually from walkways, stairs, entrances, and other areas of traffic
  • Apply salt, sand, and de-icing agents to walkways, stairs, and driveways to prevent slips and falls
  • Perform frequent safety checks of walkways and public areas to ensure they remain ice-free and safe for pedestrians
  • Communicate with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely
  • Be available for on-call shifts during snowfall events, which may occur during nights, early mornings, and weekends
  • Work in extreme weather conditions, including snow, ice, freezing temperatures, and wind

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License or abilities to travel to work location is required
  • Physical stamina to shovel snow and perform outdoor work activities for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including being on-call for snow events
  • Previous snow removal or outdoor work activities experience is an asset
  • Ability to handle long shifts in harsh winter weather conditions
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and follow safety protocols

Pay: $500 monthly

Job Type: Fixed-term contract (6 months)
