Job Overview

JCTS Truck and Trailer is Currently Seeking a Skilled and Reliable Bus Mechanic to Join our Team of Skilled Technicians. The Ideal Candidate Must have a Strong Mechanical Knowledge and Hands On Experience on Various Types and Manufacturers of Buses. Candidates Must Have the Ability to Perform Maintenance and Repairs Efficiently.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Diagnose and Repair Mechanical Issues on a Variety of Manufactures of Bus and School Buses.
  • Perform Engine, Transmission, ABS and Emissions Diagnostics and Repairs via Diagnostic Softwares
  • Perform Safety Inspections as per Vehicle Standards and D250 Standards
  • Perform PM Service Inspections and Preventive Maintenance Checkovers
  • Perform General Services
  • Strong Understanding of Electrical Systems and Lighting Systems Specific to Buses
  • Strong Experience in Hydraulic Disk Brake and Air Brake Systems
  • Strong Experience in Suspension Repairs (King Pins, Leaf Springs, Shackle Pins, etc.)
  • Use of Hand Tools, Power Tools, Schematics, and Diagnostic Equipment to Troubleshoot Problems
  • Follow Safety Protocols and Maintain a Clean Work Environment
  • Own a Tool Box with a Full Complement of Required Handtools and Power tools to Perform Inspections and Repairs of Buses.
  • Ability to Lift 50 Pounds
