Job Title: Senior Quality Engineering Specialist

Essential Functions:

Reporting to the Senior Quality Assurance Manager, the Senior Quality Engineering Specialist (QE) provides support across all business functions and plays a key role in continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and customer satisfaction.

Lead and develop an effective Software Quality Assurance program, for both in-house development and supplier software development oversight.Develop and maintain effective Key Performance Indicators, and support corporate Zero Defect Plan for internal and supplier activities.Support and coordinate external customer and Quality Management System Audits.Coordinate internal audit and corrective action programs to meet ISO9001/AS9100 and regulatory requirements.Lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) efforts and improve existing RCCA tools.Review/approve technical data, plans, and reports for compliance to company and contractual requirements.Provide Quality Engineering technical support for in-house and supplied product.Support implementation of corporate Continuous Improvement program.

Qualifications:

Required: Engineering degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).Required: Minimum of 7 years experience in a quality engineering role (any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered)Required: Detailed knowledge of quality management systems (ISO9001 / AS9100).Required: Detailed experience with Internal Auditing and RCCA. Required: In Depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Required: Strong collaboration skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively balance priorities with limited supervision.Preferred: Experience and/or training in Continuous Improvement.Preferred: Working knowledge and experience with SAP.Preferred: Experience with 8D RCCA, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA methodologies

Eligibility Criteria:

Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
