The pay range for the role is $52,3000 to $87,100 plus bonus, comprehensive benefits, retirement savings plan, paid vacation, and other perks and opportunities.
Gay Lea Foods is seeking a Customer Supply Chain Representative to join our dynamic, customer-facing team. Reporting to the Manager, Customer Supply Chain, this role is part of a group dedicated to driving order fulfillment excellence within Gay Lea Foods' supply chain, ensuring we deliver our products to our customers as promised. As the "face of the transaction" with our customers orders and demand signal, you will play a key role in providing consistency, quality, and reliability across every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Order Management & Customer Service Excellence
Manage end-to-end order fulfillment for assigned customer accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to service level targets and customer expectations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for operational inquiries, bridging communication between customers and internal teams (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance).
Monitor and process EDI transactions and ERP-based orders, proactively resolving discrepancies or delays.
Issue Resolution & Root Cause Analysis
Investigate and resolve service issues promptly, applying root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Coordinate returns, credits, and complaint handling in compliance with SOPs and food safety standards.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Partner with Key Account Managers and cross-functional teams to support customer initiatives and optimize fulfillment processes.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to projects that enhance customer experience and operational/distribution efficiency.
Data & Performance Management
Utilize ERP systems and reporting tools to track order status, service metrics, and inventory availability.
Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audits and compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Competencies
Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or supply chain within a fast-paced Consumer Goods environment.
Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
Strong technical aptitude with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) and EDI transactions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with data analysis tools is an asset.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to exercise sound judgment in all situations.
Bilingualism (French) is an asset.
