Configuration Control Specialist – Support the Designs Powering Aerial Firefighting Around the Globe

We're looking for a detail-driven, highly organized Configuration Control Specialist to join our Design team in Port Alberni, BC on a temporary one-year basis. If you thrive in technical environments and want to support the designing process that make a real-world impact, this is your opportunity.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in an inspection role associated with technical documents.
  • 2+ years of experience in configuration control, documentation management, or a similar technical role.
  • 1+ year of experience in the aviation industry.
  • Strong understanding of PLM/ENOVIA systems and documentation control.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical teams.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Structures, and Design teams to ensure accurate routing of new repairs, including support for First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Maintain and update the Master Drawing List to ensure all engineering stakeholders have access to current, approved documentation.
  • Review technical documents with the Design Manager and design staff, processing design changes such as Design Change Requests (DCR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and Design Change Notifications (DCN).
  • Maintain the Enovia PLM system to ensure engineering reports and technical documents are properly stored, tracked, and controlled.
  • Provide training on technical documentation and configuration management processes.
  • Support special projects assigned by the Design Manager.
