Duties
- Greet patients warmly and check them in upon arrival
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Curve or similar dental management software
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries and direct calls appropriately
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
- Collect payments and process billing transactions efficiently
- Maintain organized front desk area and ensure all patient documents are complete and up-to-date
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate smooth daily operations
- Handle patient inquiries professionally, providing information about procedures and appointment policies
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental office environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Curve or Epic is essential
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is advantageous
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) in a healthcare setting is beneficial
- Strong office experience including front desk responsibilities, administrative support, and multi-line phone systems is desirable
- Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are required for success in this role
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 – 40 per week
Work Location: In person
