Do you have a passion for quality and want to support the Audit & Assurance practice with new requirements and enhancement to our audit quality program? KPMG's Department of Professional Practice (DPP) is in search of high-performing candidates who are looking to drive change, implement new business processes and work to embed quality initiatives throughout the firm. These positions provide opportunities to work with leadership in DPP, Business Unit Professional Practice Partners, Risk Management, client service partners and external parties to the firm.

What you will do:

  • Support the implementation of a comprehensive monitoring model which will include changes to business processes to support audit quality initiatives, develop and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), all with a robust accountability framework.
  • Enhance quality in the audit by assisting with a wide range of initiatives to help centralize and standardize work performed while collaborating with the Audit Operations team and evaluating the impact to the Engagement Management Lifecycle.
  • Support DPP Leadership with frequent and detailed regulatory reporting, having direct exposure to various key stakeholders outside the firm.
  • Work across National groups to pull together standardized Global reporting requirements, such as the Transparency Report.
  • Support the execution and appropriate evidencing of DPP processes within our System of Quality Management.
  • Provide guidance to the National Audit Support Professionals Group.
  • Liaise with Risk Management to ensure strong alignment of programming.
  • Maintain a linkage to engagement work by retaining a small volume of client service accountabilities.

What you bring to the role:

  • Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in a large professional services firm
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and ability to generate high quality deliverables.
  • Experience and proven ability to manage team members and projects successfully and direct the work of others.
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
  • Confidence and resilience in dealing with senior partners and challenging situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and professional maturity; demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build professional relationships.
  • Awareness of the sensitivity of information received and appropriate handling.
  • Proficiency in English at a business level is required

This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support KPMG employees nationally and will be required to communicate with English-speaking colleagues. This individual will be required to create documentation and share guidance to those in English-speaking provinces.

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $53,500 to $101,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $56,000 to $94,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
