Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Production Coordinator Technician to oversee daily operations in our production environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a passion for solar energy, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple aspects of shop operations. This role is essential to maintaining operational excellence while fostering a positive and supportive experience for employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open and close the shop in alignment with operating hours (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday–Friday).
  • Supervise and lead a team of Solar Technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and safety.
  • Lead daily morning meetings with shop staff to ensure alignment on production schedules, priorities, and customer orders.
  • Independently operate robotic machinery on the production line (training provided for all equipment).
  • Assemble products as required to meet production demands and timelines.
  • Provide coverage for other employees during absences to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Ensure all Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures are consistently followed.
  • Record and report daily production numbers accurately.
  • Implement effective time-management strategies to optimize productivity and meet production goals.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking as needed.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Adhere strictly to Safe Operating Procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Safely lift up to fifty (50) pounds as required.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with team members, upper management, and external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience training and developing employees to enhance performance and skill growth.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of motivating and guiding teams toward production targets.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
