Director of Operations

About Loyal Homes
Loyal Homes is an independent, BC-based real estate brokerage built for growth. We are a small, high-standards team today and we plan to scale quickly across British Columbia through We care deeply about trust, clarity, and execution, and we move fast when we see opportunity.
This is not a large corporate environment. Systems are evolving, decisions move quickly, and leadership is hands-on. The upside is real ownership and impact. The trade-off is that you will be building structure while the company grows.
The Role
This role functions as the operational backbone of the company.
As Director of Operations, you will partner directly with the CEO to turn direction into execution. You will lead through clarity and accountability, not layers of management. You will have real authority, direct leadership responsibility, and ownership of how the business runs day to day.
Key Responsibilities
- Own company-wide execution across operations, people, and performance
- Establish operating cadence including priorities, meetings, scorecards, and follow-up
- Lead and hold the leadership team accountable to commitments and timelines
- Translate ideas and strategy into focused, executable plans
- Identify issues early, address them directly, and drive practical solutions
- Ensure core processes are followed consistently and improved over time
- Cascade clear communication across the organization
- Protect focus and simplicity as the company scales
What We Are Looking For
- A steady, grounded leader who brings clarity without creating friction
- Comfortable holding people accountable while maintaining trust
- Strong follow-through and a bias toward finishing what gets started
- Able to push back respectfully and protect priorities
- Systems-minded, but practical
- Comfortable leading in a small team with no middle management
- Experience in operations, leadership, or a similar execution-focused role
This role is not a fit for someone who needs perfect structure, avoids conflict, or prefers a support role without ownership.
Location Requirement
This role is based in Port Alberni, BC. Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate. In-person leadership is important to how we operate.
Why This Role
- Real authority and trust
- Direct partnership with the CEO
- Meaningful impact on a fast-growing company
- Clear path to expanded leadership responsibility as the business scales
How to Apply
Submit your resume and a short note explaining why this role fits how you operate.
