Third Party Administration

Part-Time: Thursdays and Fridays: 6-12 hours per week, with potential on-call shifts

Are you well-organized and a self-starter? Do you have experience supporting individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges to reach their personal and professional potential? We are seeking a Third Party Administration (TPA) Case Worker to coordinate the Ministry finances of participants with high support needs, provide ongoing support and behavioral coaching to multi-barriered individuals, and assist participants with skill development and employment goals.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the client and the Ministry to ensure finances are administered
  • Assist clients in their quest for establishing a better quality of life through support and encouragement, as well as assisting with life skills, housing and employment goals
  • Provide information to clients regarding Ministry policies and our programming as well as information on other community services available to them
  • Prepare and submit month end reports to Supervisor
  • Attend community meetings and network with community agencies when needed
  • Refer participants to appropriate resources, such as treatment, mental health services, health services, food banks, shelters, employment services, etc.
  • Office administration support, marketing activities including monthly blog and staff newsletter
  • Work collaboratively with Piers on other projects and supporting clients in future contracts

Required Qualifications:

  • Clean Criminal Record check
  • Good communication skills and ability to deal with individuals with mental health and anger management issues
  • Valid driver's license and appropriate vehicle insurance
  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals with complex barriers, disabilities and a broad range of cultural backgrounds
  • A familiarity of the community services both federal and provincial and the local labour market is also essential
  • Education/Certification:
  • Certificate, diploma or degree, 2 years experience working with vulnerable populations, or a combination of equivalent experience and/or training

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
