Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, along with a commitment to maintaining high standards of service in a hospital or clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and placing orders as necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering patient inquiries regarding medications and health products.
  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and safety protocols.
  • Assist in the management of patient records and medication administration documentation.
  • Support the pharmacy team in daily operations, including cleaning and organizing workspaces.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate optimal patient care.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the pharmacy setting.
  • Experience or training as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with medication administration processes and protocols.
  • Previous experience in patient care or a hospital environment is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and healthcare staff.
