What is the opportunity?
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Trade Operations, this position is expected to provide support for all related processing of documentation and administration of all Trade related products (Guarantees, Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections).
This position is fully on-site.
What will you do?
Provide premium service in all aspects of the Trade Finance operational workflow including the completion of Letters of Credit, Guarantees and Documentary Collections and ensuring service delivery standards are met or exceeded.
Point of support for all L/C and Guarantee operational escalations.
Responsible to meet monthly Key Performance Indicators and to participate in Payment and Trade Operation (PTO) Quality Initiatives.
Responsible for effective relationship management of all partners, including, but not limited to BBE, P&CB, Capital Markets, IT, and Products/Sales Management teams.
Referral point for service partners in all businesses throughout RBC for processes relating to the issuing and advising of L/Cs, Guarantees and Documentary Collections.
Track service gaps/client impact errors, performing root cause analysis as required closing gaps, improving service and optimizing operational efficiency.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
1- 3 years import/export documents checking experience
Knowledge of SWIFT payment and L/C message types (MT700, 100 and 400 series)
Working knowledge of ICC rules (UCP 600; ISP98, URDG758, ISBP)
Strong organizational & decision-making skills
Technical aptitude and system documentation proficiency
Nice-to-have:
CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist)
Trade processing software such as Trade 360
Previous Customer Service experience
