Duties
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient communication
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records using Dentrix or Epic software
- Collect payments, co-pays, and process billing accurately
- Maintain organized patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations
- Prepare patient charts and documentation for upcoming procedures
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient daily operations
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry in a professional manner
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a medical/dental office setting is highly desirable
- Proficiency with Paradigm dental management software is a plus
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems
- Excellent communication skills, including experience with multi-line phone systems and front desk responsibilities
- Office experience with administrative tasks, scheduling, and billing processes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor to provide exceptional patient service
