Supply Chain Associate/Assembler

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Associate to join our Supply Chain Team. This position is required to adhere to company direction to complete the assembly of product. The Supply Chain environment is a team environment that mandates cooperation and respectfulness from all employees. This role will be determined by the Supply Chain Manager and there is an expectation that all employees will be trained in multiple jobs to meet the needs of the customer. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, mechanical knowledge, and experience working in warehouse or manufacturing environments. A background in assembly, use of hand and power tools, and forklift operation are highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team committed to operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate procurement of materials needed for production
- Assemble piping, pumps, and mechanical components
- Grinding, sanding, drilling, tapping of product
- Follow detailed assembly instructions and drawings
- Load/unload trucks for receiving and shipping parts
- Verify packing list accuracy against parts received for qty's/correct parts shipping/PO #'s etc.
- Delivery of parts to the warehouse and production line assuring that parts are delivered in the correct location/bin
- Handle the packing and handling of crates, ensuring products are securely packed for transportation
- Label parts with receiving tags and putting them away based on FIFO
- Completing receiving inspection for various parts
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality, accuracy, and performance
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Production teams to meet build schedules
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Housekeeping duties; including mopping floors, garbage collection, sweeping and shovelling/salting snow in the winter months
Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) year Supply Chain and assembly experience within a manufacturing environment
- Team player with effective time management, organization and problem-solving skills
- Mechanical aptitude and experience working with tools and assembly processes
- Ability to read and follow drawings or instructions
- Proficient in operating forklifts with a valid forklift operator's certification (Preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to multitask and prioritize based on departmental needs
- Strong verbal communication skills are essential for constant interaction with various departments
- Strong computer skills for processing shipping documents
- Working knowledge and understanding of quality management systems
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods
- Cross-training will be required to foster collaboration and efficiency between Supply Chain and Production roles

Pay: $28.10-$33.06 per hour
