Country Green Excavating is a growing excavation and civil contractor based in Abbotsford BC. We have projects throughout the Lower Mainland; specializing in site preparation, underground services, bulk excavation and specialty projects.

We are currently hiring experienced Civil Foreman.

Responsibilities Include:

  • ability to read, understand and interpret construction drawings
  • organize a crew of up to 10 employees while reporting to the superintendent
  • Complete daily field reports
  • Complete daily FLHAs and be familiar with WSBC standards
  • Install underground utilities to designed grades and alignment
  • set up a pipe laser and establish slope
  • cut and bevel pipe, cut concrete manholes and pipe
  • work with heavy equipment to locate existing utilities
  • bolt up mechanically restrained fittings
  • understanding of proper excavation and shoring methods
  • able to assemble shoring cages

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience required in a field supervisory position. Please do not apply if you do not have supervisory experience
  • minimum 5 years of Civil Construction experience, working specifically in underground utilities
  • valid class 5 drivers license
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • extensive knowledge and understanding of the instillation of storm, sanitary, and watermains
  • able to read and interpret Civil drawings
