Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mortgage Underwriter based in Calgary, AB. The Mortgage Underwriter will evaluate and analyze loan applications to ensure creditworthiness and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, verifying borrower documentation, and collaborating with loan officers and brokers. The individual will also ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies, while delivering exceptional service to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Mortgage Industry, Mortgage Underwriting, and general Underwriting processes
  • In-depth knowledge of Mortgages and related financial products
  • Exceptional Analytical Skills with the ability to assess risks and make sound decisions
  • Detail-oriented professional with proficiency in financial analysis and relationship management
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (preferred)
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative, on-site team environment
