ICON is a growing company with a strong, vibrant future. We are currently recruiting for a Composites Manufacturing Technician. The right candidate will be motivated, naturally pleasant and friendly, with a commitment to "family" values and collaboration. This is a team environment with a collective focus on serving our customers and supporting each other to that end.

The primary responsibility of the Composites Manufacturing Technician is to fabricate new components, primarily using hand lay-up methods, and applying gel coats. Tasks will also include material preparation, assembly, quality control and documentation.

Required qualifications, previous training and skills include, but not limited to:

· A thorough understanding of composite manufacturing practices, equipment and tools.

· Possess strong conceptual and dimensional thinking ability.

· Strong math, analytical and problem-solving skill sets.

· The ability to read and interpret part blueprints and schematics.

· Physically suited, with fine motor skills.

· Keen attention for detail.

· Thorough understanding of applicable safety protocols.

· Fluent in English, both verbal and written.

Knowledge and experience with the following are considered an asset:

  • Basic knowledge of design software.
  • A general understanding of wood work / mold making.
  • Familiarity with recreational vehicles.

This is a full-time permanent position. Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada. Normal work hours are Monday – Thursday, 7am – 5:30pm.
