Castle Hall is seeking a Podcast & Multimedia Producer to join our Montreal team and launch our new podcast studio on rue Fullham in Rosemont. The ideal candidate is a creative and technically proficient storyteller with strong production and editing skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate will work from our dedicated studio space to produce two distinct podcast series featuring industry leaders and expert insights. The responsibilities of the role will include end-to-end podcast production from recording through post-production, creating engaging short-form content for social media platforms, managing content distribution across major podcast and video platforms, and maintaining studio equipment and operations. This position requires expertise in audio/video production software and a proven ability to build audience engagement across digital channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

End-to-End Podcast Production

  • Produce and manage two distinct podcast series from concept through publication, maintaining consistent quality, tone, and brand standards across both shows
  • Coordinate pre-production planning including run sheets, guest briefings, research, and technical setup
  • Operate studio equipment for multi-camera video and professional audio recording sessions
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time to ensure flawless recording environments

Editing & Creative Post-Production

  • Edit full-length audio and video episodes to professional broadcast standards, ensuring compelling storytelling and pacing
  • Produce short-form content (clips, reels, highlights) optimized for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube
  • Design and integrate branded elements including intros/outros, lower thirds, captions, graphics, and transitions
  • Partner with hosts to refine episode structure, narrative flow, and messaging alignment

Content Distribution & Promotion

  • Publish episodes to major platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and emerging podcast channels
  • Develop and execute coordinated release schedules across both series, balancing content cadence with audience expectations
  • Create and schedule strategic promotional content across all social channels to maximize reach and engagement
  • Apply platform-specific optimization techniques to improve discoverability and algorithmic performance

Performance Analytics & Growth Strategy

  • Track and analyze performance metrics across podcast platforms and social media channels
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance audience retention, engagement, and growth
  • Maintain organized content libraries, production assets, and episode pipelines for both series

Studio Management & Innovation

  • Oversee studio operations, including equipment maintenance, software updates, lighting configuration, and workspace organization
  • Identify and implement workflow improvements to increase production efficiency and output quality
  • Research and adopt emerging tools, technologies, and best practices in podcast and digital media production

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience producing podcasts, video content, or multimedia projects with a portfolio of published work
  • Advanced technical proficiency with professional audio/video equipment (microphones, mixers, cameras, lighting) and editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Descript
  • Editorial judgment and storytelling ability to craft compelling narratives through post-production, pacing, and creative content adaptation
  • Social media expertise with a deep understanding of platform-specific content formats, trends, and audience behavior across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X
  • Project management capabilities to juggle multiple deadlines, priorities, and production workflows across two concurrent podcast series
  • Meticulous attention to detail combined with creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/French) with strong communication skills in both languages
  • Experience producing content for multiple brands or series with distinct audiences and creative approaches
  • Expertise in YouTube SEO, podcast analytics tools (Spotify for Podcasters, Apple Podcasts Connect, Chartable), and platform growth strategies (an asset)
  • Graphic design proficiency using Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools for creating thumbnails, social assets, and promotional materials (as asset)
  • Formal education or professional background in digital media production, journalism, communications, or broadcasting (an asset)
  • Familiarity with professional services, financial services, or B2B content creation and audience engagement strategies (an asset)
  • Knowledge of podcast monetization, sponsorship integration, or audience development tactics (an asset)
