Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support within a busy medical practice, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent patient service. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in a professional healthcare environment, with a focus on organisation, communication, and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures
  • Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow efficiently
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
  • Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, directing queries appropriately
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
  • Support medical staff with preparing examination rooms and managing supplies
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection regulations
  • Assist in billing processes and processing payments as required
  • Immunization, injections and pap smears participation

Requirements

ESSENTIAL

.previous EMR experience

. working in a busy medical clinical

.administer immunizations and injections

Desirable

  • Previous medical office experience is highly desirable
  • Administrative experience within a healthcare setting is advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • A professional attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding patient care

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 28 per week
