The Recreation Aide works collaboratively with the healthcare team to promote resident awareness and participation in programs and opportunities and support recreation & leisure programming for the residents.Qualifications:Alberta HCA/Recreation Aide certificate requiredOne (1) to two (2) years of Therapeutic Recreation experience preferredPossess a valid Class 4 driver's license is preferredAbility to maintain good working relations with staff, public and outside agenciesFlexibility with changes in the organization and maintain a positive outlookTraining or experience in social services, recreation or related discipline preferredThis position requires you to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and all other required communicable diseases under Covenant Care's OHS policyPLEASE NOTE: Covenant Care offers a very competitive compensation and benefits package.All employees new to Covenant Care must provide a criminal record check not older than 6 months ahead of your commencement date. Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Person Screening processing is taking much longer than typical (3 to 4 weeks) and that commencing the process in advance is advisable. Not having your CRC will delay your ability to commence employment.
