Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Editorial Assistant to support our editorial team in producing high-quality content. This role involves assisting with proofreading, copy editing, research, and various writing tasks to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all publications. Responsibilities

  • Proofread and copy edit articles, reports, and other written materials to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines
  • Conduct research to gather relevant information and verify facts for content accuracy
  • Assist with editing drafts, providing constructive feedback to writers and editors
  • Manage and organize documents using word processing software
  • Support the editorial team with scheduling, coordinating projects, and meeting deadlines
  • Contribute ideas for content development and improvement
  • Maintain consistent communication with team members to ensure smooth workflow

Experience

  • Proven experience or coursework in proofreading, copy editing, or related fields is preferred
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences
  • Excellent research skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in word processing programs such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating within a team environment
  • Prior experience in publishing or media is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
