Valiant Law LLP is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate to join our growing practice. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of civil litigation matters and will be involved in files from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Draft pleadings, motion records, affidavits, facta, and written submissions
  • Conduct legal research and prepare litigation memoranda
  • Manage litigation files and court deadlines
  • Attend discoveries, mediations, motions, and court appearances
  • Prepare clients for discoveries, hearings, and examinations
  • Correspond with opposing counsel, clients, and court staff
  • Assist with trial preparation and document management

Practice Areas

  • Commercial and contract disputes
  • Corporate and shareholder litigation
  • Real estate litigation
  • Employment and wrongful dismissal matters
  • General civil litigation

Qualifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • 1–5 years of civil litigation experience (other experience levels considered)
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Solid knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Ability to manage multiple files independently
  • Professional and client-focused approach
