The role
The
Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)
is responsible for driving continuous improvement across the supply base, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, and delivering measurable improvements in supplier quality and customer satisfaction. This role works closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve non-conformances, manage corrective actions, and strengthen quality systems.

In this role, a typical day will look like:
Supplier Quality Engineering

  • Collecting and analyzing supplier quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Partnering directly with suppliers to define and implement corrective action plans.
  • Reviewing supplier manufacturing processes and leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Conducting supplier inspections and audits per Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Managing third-party inspection agencies and contract source inspectors.
  • Leading resolution of customer complaints (CCs) and internal non-conformances (NCs).
  • Supporting Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales, and Field Service teams with ISO 9001:2015 compliance.
  • Presenting supplier quality metrics and analysis to support daily management and leadership reporting.

Quality Management System & Standard Work

  • Acting as an expert for the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
  • Ensuring controlled documents meet ISO and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining QMS training records and visual management.
  • Driving continuous improvement of QMS processes using structured problem-solving methods.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • 4–5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering within an ISO-certified environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and Quality Management Systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistical data analysis and root cause methodologies.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 30–40% across North America.
  • ASQ certification preferred.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 USD per year.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
