Senior Guidewire Functional Tester

We are looking for a Senior Guidewire Functional Tester to join our QEA team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Guidewire testing and a strong Property and Casualty Insurance background. You will perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing across Guidewire modules to ensure seamless system functionality, identify defects, and validate integrations to deliver high-quality insurance solutions.

In this role, you will

• Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for Guidewire applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of Guidewire Policy Center and Claim Center.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed test cases and test scenarios.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
• Develop Policy Center & Claim Center configuration/Integration test scenarios & test cases.
• Coordinate with Offshore, Onshore, and other stakeholders to complete the deliverables.
• Track and report defects using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Client ALM, Azure DevOps).
• Actively engage in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required skills: what you need to be considered

• Overall 6-10 years of experience in P&C insurance with at least 3 years in Guidewire Policy Center and Claim Center.
• At least 3 years of experience in Guidewire full suite implementation.
• Expert knowledge of Policy Center lifecycle and workflows.
• Good experience in insurance domain such as Life and health insurance.
• Experience on Test Case design, Test Execution, Test Planning, Defect Logging, and tracking
• Familiarity with Guidewire data model workflows and integrations (web services APIs).
• Good experience in Agile and well versed in standard QA processes.

Preferred skills: what will help you stand out

• Hands-on experience in API testing would be an added advantage.
• Preferred to have Guidewire certification completed.

Total compensation:

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between 80,000 – 90,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
