Big Data Engineer

Downtown Montreal ( hybrid model of 6 days / month in Montreal including 2 days at the old port during the PI planning)

6+ months contract job.

Language: Bilingual - French/English

Technologies or skills required:

  • 6 to 10 years of experience
  • Must be familiar with good programming practices and be able to perform unit tests as needed.
  • Must be familiar with code management software (e.g., GitHub).
  • Have a strong grasp of development practices (e.g., peer review, unit testing, CI/CD)
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and/or Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe)
  • Technology:

o PySpark

o Git

o Docker

o Knowledge of cloud computing (ideally GCP or Azure)

o Knowledge of SQL

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
