Responsibilities
When your actions lead to success:

  • Prioritize the workflow for all planning, kitting, and pressroom operations with the purpose of maximizing customer satisfaction and minimizing manufacturing costs;
  • To develop and maintain a production schedule that accurately reflects the current status of all jobs (daily, weekly and long range schedules) and to review this schedule with all required departments;
  • Load and identify what machines and processes all new orders will impact including confirming that all dates have been supplied and identified as to when material is required, as well as to confirm and identify when receipt of material and information from our customer is required;
  • Host daily scheduling meetings;
  • Monitor daily workflow and identify potential shortfalls in order to facilitate resolution;
  • Be proactive about capacity issues and ensure the overtime situation is identified for those that need to be addressed;
  • Identify any over capacity issues that may result of work being outsourced;
  • Remain flexible and available for contact after business hours as determined by business needs;
  • Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.

Qualifications
When your expertise drives us:

  • Minimum three (3) years related production/scheduling experience along with a post-secondary education and knowledge of the digital print industry preferred;
  • Superior organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills;
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills;
  • Proactive thinker who demonstrates the ability to handle stress in a patient and controlled way;
  • Vision to see and understand the "big picture" in terms of work in process and consequences as a result of changing variables of the customers job requirements;
  • Experience with Management Information System "Pace" would be a strong asset.
  • Must be fluent in Microsoft Excel.
