This position engages with the public and other stakeholders on a daily basis and is in a position to have a positive influence on the health of residents and visitors.Environmental health at the Shire of Broome covers a wide range of public and environmental health fields which include mosquito management, food safety, drinking water, recreational water and aquatic water safety, caravan parks and camping grounds, trading and events to name a few. It offers a challenging and rewarding work - mix. The position is well supported in a small team of dedicated professionals.A full position description can be found here:Environmental Health Officer - Position Description:This is a permanent full time position that will be based at the Shire of Broome Administration Office, work hours Monday - Friday 7.45am- 4.30pm. Flexible Work Arrangements can be possible for the right Candidate.About YouThe ideal candidate will be qualified with a degree or graduate diploma in environmental health from an accredited university program. They will have an analytical mind with a thirst for knowledge as well as being a strong team player with the ability to meet deadlines between competing priorities.
