Job Overview
Murphy's Mutts is seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Dog Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle pets of all sizes.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area to ensure a safe environment for pets and staff.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming.
- Provide exceptional customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their questions or concerns.
- Handle heavy lifting when managing larger breeds or multiple pets during appointments.
- Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and products to provide the best care possible.
Experience
- Previous experience in dog grooming is mandatory
- Strong customer service skills are essential to create a welcoming environment for clients and their pets.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals or equipment.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their health and happiness is crucial in this role.
