For over 50 years, Construction Gély has distinguished itself through its expertise in northern construction, with iconic projects such as a school in Taloyoak and an aircraft hangar in Iqaluit.

Based at our permanent garage in
Iqaluit
, the candidate will have the opportunity to work on various machinery such as excavators, drills, cranes, shovels, bulldozers, off-road trucks, crushers, etc.
TASK
- Ensure periodic preventive maintenance;
- Perform diagnostics to detect breakdowns and malfunctions;
- Evaluate the extent of the repairs to be carried out and plan the required time;
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble defective parts;
- Test repaired equipment to ensure its works well;
- Perform welding, cutting, and/or drilling of metal as required to perform their duties;
- Be able to operate and move machinery or vehicles as needed;
- Identify replacement parts in parts books for ordering purposes.
- Issue recommendations for improvement or maintenance to optimize machinery;
- Work in collaboration with construction sites and thus participate in achieving objectives and respecting project deadlines.
Requirements
- DEP in construction machinery mechanics (experience can compensate for lack of training);
- Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Similar duties;
- Compliant with occupational health and safety regulations;
- Good physical ability and manual dexterity.

- Work in a remote area on a fly-in/fly-out rotation with 30 days on site, 10 days at home;
- Work season from February to November;
- On-site work schedule of 10 hours per day, 7 days a week;
- Air travel time paid;
- Travel, accommodation, and food (on-site cook) on the construction site are covered by the employer.
