MAF3008H: Strategic Business Leadership - Summer 2026
This course is designed as equivalency for the Strategic Professional level of study within the ACCA. This course builds on previous coursework in governance, ethics, risk management, internal control, strategy and leadership to explore integrative executive decision-making in an international business context. The course mirrors the corporate workplace and requires the demonstration of a blend of technical, ethical and professional skills to make strategic, operating and other decisions. Sessional Lecturer: Summer 2026
The positions for a Sessional Lecturer are available in the Department of Management, School of Graduate Studies for the Summer 2026 academic session. This posting is in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Governing Council of the University of Toronto and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 3902 Unit 3.

Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12. Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

Minimum Qualifications
ACCA Strategic Professional Level Certification
Master Degree Accounting
Preferred Qualifications
Experienced with the program and course content including MAF1002, the course pre-requisite
Fully ACCA Certified.
CPA
Relevant Criterion
Previous experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position.
Duties
All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a graduate credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades, holding regular office hours and maintaining reasonable availability for student and administrative contact, possbily supervision of SIA/T.A. assigned to course.
