QA Technician/Inspector

Blue Mountain Plastics Recycling is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician / Inspector to support quality control operations within our rPET recycling facility (recycled PET plastic -polyethylene terephthalate), This role ensures finished rPET flakes meet internal, customer, and regulatory specifications.
As a QA Technician/Inspector you can expect:

Key Responsibilities:
Perform flake quality testing including contamination identification and PPM calculation.
Conduct flake bake tests, pH differential tests, moisture testing, IV testing, metal detection verification, and flake sizing tests.
Calibrate and verify QA equipment including pH meters and Sesotec Flake Purifiers/ VARISORTS.
Accurately record QA results in Data Management Systems and QA logs.
Identify non-conforming material, initiate retests, and place material on HOLD when required.
Communicate quality issues to Production Supervisors and QA leadership.
Maintain QA lab cleanliness and follow all safety and PPE requirements.
Education/Skills/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in QA, manufacturing, or laboratory environments
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Basic computer and data entry skills
Plastics, recycling, or polymer experience preferred
Laboratory or chemical testing experience preferred
Working Environment/Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for extended period
Ability to lift moderate weights
Work in production and laboratory environments
Mandatory use of PPE
